Second group of seven detainees brought before prosecutor in military court in Rabat

Rabat, Dec 31, 2009 (SPS) - Three of the seven Sahrawi political prisoners jailed in Sale prison, Morocco, were brought before a prosecutor in a military court in Rabat, according to human rights sources.

The source said that the case concerned Alisalem Tamek, Vice-President of Collective of Sahrawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA), Brahim Dahan, President of the Sahrawi Association of Victims of Grave Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State (ASVDH), Saleh Labehi, Chairperson of the Forum for Protection of childhood in Western Sahara (FPESSO).

It should be recalled that the group was arrested October 8, at Mohammed V airport in Casablanca on the grounds of their visit to the Saharawi refugee camps.

It also should be pointed out that the prosecutor listened Friday, on the same file, to Sahrawi political prisoner Rashid Sgair. (SPS)
