
Rabat (Morocco), Dec 24, 2009 (SPS) - A trusted source has affirmed that the Sahrawi human rights activist, arrested in Sale of Morocco, Rachid Sgair, is expected to appear Friday before a prosecutor in a military court in Rabat under detailed investigation on the file, which he has been pursuing along with the seven Sahrawi human rights, who visited the Sahrawi refugee camps between September 26 to 06 October 2009.
The prosecutor in the same court, according to the source, has summoned a member of the group, Saleh Labehi, on Dec 17, 2009, but he did not present because it was coincided with the first day of the new Muslim-year 1432.
Pursuing the same file, besides the above mentioned detainee, Sahrawi human rights defenders Alisalem Tamek, Brahim Dahan, Degja Lashgar, Ahmed Nasiri, Yahzih Taruzi and Saleh Labehi.
Sahrawi human rights defenders have spent more than 70 days waiting to be militarily tried, because of their political positions on the question of Western Sahara, as well as their human rights activities that expose Moroccan Human Rights violations in Western Sahara. (SPS)
